Jeffrey BOURGEOIS Obituary
BOURGEOIS, Jeffrey
Jeffrey Bourgeois, 6, of Salem, son of Scott and Corinne "Cory" (Yost) Bourgeois, passed away Tuesday (April 10, 2012). Born in Middletown, he was a first grade student at Salem School and a member of Salem Pack 22 Cub Scouts. Jeffrey also loved being a part of the soccer and baseball in Salem and a karate program. Besides his mom and dad, Jeffrey is survived by a brother, Zachary Bourgeois and a sister, Nicole Bourgeois; his maternal grandparents, Edward and Joanne (Blejewski) Yost of New Britain; his maternal great grandmother, Jean Blejewski, also of New Britain; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Philip and Meta Bourgeois; and his great grandfather Henry "Beaner" Blejewski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeffrey will be held 10 a.m. Saturday (April 14, 2012) at Holy Cross Church, Farmington Ave. corner of Biruta Street, New Britain followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Pack 22 Cub Scouts c/o Jim Choquette, 11 Salem Ridge Drive, Salem CT 06420. Orions Belt is still lined up for your children and I still think of Jeffery often. His obituary is on my phone and comes up and I love seeing that smiling face every time. I've thought of you many, many times during this long year, but more and more so the thoughts of you have been easing into my soul this past week. I am thinking of you now, and I will continue to think of you for the rest of the day, into night. I will carry you close to my heart for as long as I live, because you have touched my soul in a way I never thought possible. It has been a bittersweet journey for me, filled with tears, agonizing heartache, and despair; also, joy from the thought of your precious smile, hope, and faith that God knows best. Dear Jeffrey: I, like so many people, only knew you as an angel, and that was about this time last year. I've thought of you and your loving family so much this past week and may the pain in their hearts be a bit less knowing how many of us here on earth think of you now and always. Till we meet again. Your picture is etched in my soul forever...precious little angel. And my own brother, Jeffrey, passed away on December 12, 2012. He too was close to so many good folks here. I am sure that both of you are watcing over us here on earth.

this message is for your parents jeffrey. your beautiful son is so not alone and neither are you. many families and children of newton have now joined your family in the experience of tradgedy. i'm sure those families prayed for you and your family long before ever imagining that they would be going through the same thing themselves. jeffrey and ellie and noah and dylan and the rest of the children will never be forgoten but we must honor their lives and remember the best times in their deaths. you have gone throuh all the firsts now which is one of the hardest things to do. i hope your children are well and growing stronger everyday. it has been an honor to be part of your family through jeffrey. peace to all of you and know the angels are playing and laughing loud together!!!

Jeffrey, I did not know of you till the day I read about the horrible accident you had, not very many days go by that I dont think about you & your family, The other day, not far from where I live here in Maine, a precious little 6 yr old boy was killed when his father backed over him with his truck plowing his driveway, Please be his play mate in heaven Jeffrey. Only the good die young. My prayers are still with your family.
