Lee Irving Walster

Lee Irving Walster, 85 of Shelton, WA, passed away at home on January 8, 2011. Lee was born on November 1, 1925 to Charles and Edith Walster.
Lee attended Snohomish High School before joining the United States Navy, serving on the USS Noble with the rank Quartermaster 3 C. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign medal, American Area Campaign medal and World War II Victory medal.
Lee married Dorothy Lange in 1963. He was a member of the Fratrnal Order of the Eagles, the Moose Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and retired after 30 years working for the United States Government as a Regional Property Administrator for the CSA.
Lee loved the northwest outdoors; he was an avid camper, hunter and fisherman. He loved to bowl and to golf and scored a hole in one on 08/02/1975.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard Walster, and son, Charles Lloyd Walster.
Lee is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years; Dorothy; his children, Deborah, Lee Allen, Roxane, Earl, Laura; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Harry (wife, Clarisse), Mary Rupert, Ralph (wife, Fran), Raymond (wife, Pat), and Stan (wife, Phyllis).
There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. on January 16, 2011 at The Community Center at 4350 Grapeview Loop Rd. Grapeview, WA, 98546. He will be buried at Tahoma National Cemetery.

LEE WAS A GREAT GUY. WE ALWAYS ENJOYED GOING TO THE RIVER TO CAMP, PLAY CARDS WITH HIM AND LISTEN TO HIS JOKES. HE WELCOMED ME INTO THE FAMILY WHEN I MARRIED RALPH & HELPED ME FEEL LIKE I BELONGED. WE WILL MISS HIM DEARLY.
