Dear Jodi and Ben,
I have been searching for you all online for a while but with no results but this time I found you and this sad news about Sybil. You probably don't remember me but I knew you all in Houston way back in the 70's when I was over from the UK working with your mum and visited once in Austin. I loved your mum dearly and she was one of my first real grown up friends and she taught me a lot about enjoying life and being authentic. Your loss must feel very difficult even now and all I can do is send you my very best wishes and my sincere condolences, Hilary Brown UK

Ben and Jodi,
I just learned of Sybil's death. I am so very sorry. She was a wonderful friend, a terrific mother, and a delighted grandmother. Few people brought as much love, joy, and laughter to life as Sybil.

Ben and Jodi, I worked for Sybil from 1999 until 2005 in Austin. Can't tell you how much I loved her. She had a heart of gold, an extraordinary sense of humor and welcoming attitude. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jodi and Ben, I am so sorry for your loss! I have only just found out about Sybil's passing, and wish I had known sooner. Sybil was my boss when I was the Administrator at the Children's Center of Austin. I can truly say she was the best boss I've ever had. And while I had not seen her in quite some time, I know I, too, shall miss her so much. She was the best!

I worked with Sybil for about three years in the early 80's at the Infant Programs at MHMRA of Harris County. She was such a delight to work with: dedicated, smart, funny, insightful and positive. She always took time to truly listen and was a fantastic supervisor and colleague. We remained friends for many years but lost touch in the last decade. I am so sad to learn or her passing and so wish I could have said goodbye and told her how much her friendship meant to me. My sincere condolences.
