Catherine McGrath Obituary

CATHERINE McGRATH MANASQUAN Catherine 'Kay' McGrath died peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, after a short illness. Born in Union City, NJ, she lived there most of her life, before moving to Manasquan 25 years ago. Kay worked for the Union City Board of Education for 35 years before retiring. Kay was known for her up beat attitude and energy. She loved to dance and sing. She will be missed. Mrs. McGrath was pre- deceased by her husband Tom in 1996 and is survived by 2 sons, Thomas and Stephen. She was grandma Kay to Stephen, Ryan, Tiffany and Tarin. Visitation will be on Monday, October 4, 2010, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the NearyQuinn Funeral Home. A Mass will be offered on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Denis in Manasquan. Entombment will follow at St. Catharine Cemetery in Wall.
