Baby girl, I've followed your blog for a long time and it was with a heavy heart that I read the news. Even though I'm miles and miles aways and I never met you, I love you. You will be in my thoughts. That you may rest in the arms of God.

Princess,
I saw your balloons, even way down here in Florida. I see your light, even way up there in Heaven.
Everyone will be OK here, as long as they know You are there.
Now get busy and work your magic, I expect when I get there, you'll have every Angel Princess decked out in Pink!

I've never met your family, but did go to school with Don and also work with one of your friends. I have also kept up with Lindsay and her journey through the blog and know that Heaven has gained an incredible angel. All a person has to do is see all of the beautiful pictures of Lindsay to know how much she is loved. Please know that you've all been, and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear JR&Suzie: This just seems to say it best: The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In loss we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one. the chain will link again.
God Bless You All

Dear Suzie, JR, Cruz and Cole,
I have never met y'all, but there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about and pray for you. I discovered Lindsay's blog through Julianne Caperton. Her aunt Laura (Jessica's sister) with to school with my daughter.
The courage, strength, and faith that I have come to know has blown me away and strengthened my own faith. Lindsay was an amazing child. In some cases so ordinary such as the bump on the head post, but at other times you could see the divine shinning through. Which when you think about it is not surprising. Look at her parents. I am of course going to make a donation to Lindsay's baskets and continue to keep all of you in my prayers. Of course, know if there is anything else within my power to do, I will do it. Also, after you have begun to heal a little, if you ever want to experience Mardi Gras, you know people...
Sincerely,
Elizabeth (Liz) B. McKowen

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Angel "Lindsay". It saddens me for a mom, dad, brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins to have to suffer a passing of someone so young. From personal experience with the passing of our infant grandson Chance Decoda in 2005; this is the single most hardest heartache for one to have to experience. We will continue to pray for healing for all. This is our "Temporary Home" and God is waiting with arms wide open to welcome your Angel. Be Blessed with precious memories and special moments. They were a gift. May you feel my love, hugs, & prayers; even though there is 1000's of miles between us. God Loves You & So Do I. We have been blessed with a Legacy of Love called "Family".

JR and Suzanne,
You have been on an incredible roller coaster ride for the last 3 plus years (knowing Lindsay had HLHS before she was born). All along the way you have always made the courageous decision (i.e. most difficult). You're an inspiration to your family, friends and community. And you are my heroes.
May God bless your family.

Everett and Suszanne,
I am so terrible sorry to hear the sad news about Lindsay. My heart goes out to you for your precious loss. To lose such a special child is a devastating experience. The overwhelming emotions! I too, have lost a special child which had to be cared for with lots of love. May the good memories you shared together help to comfort you thru the difficult times. And most of all, may the God of Love, sustain and strengthen you with His promise of Hope for the future. When He will end all suffering! Hope will not take away your unbearable pain, but it will enable you to cope.
"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said; "Look! I am making all things NEW............"
