Passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 in Holland. Mr. Trudelle was born May 6, 1926 in Edam, Saskatchewan, Canada to Aubrey Busby and Christina (Blunck) Trudelle. When Orvil came to the United States he was adopted by Louis Trudelle. During WWII he served his country in the U.S. Army, where his unit was one of the first into Japan after the bombing of Hiroshima. Orville worked for Consumers Power Co. as an Electrical Journeyman and Maintenance Supervisor for 39 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Otsego Elks #1711 and the V.F.W. Post #3030; he loved to tinker on various projects and always enjoyed learning new things and intellectual conversations; he was an avid golfer with several holes-in-one; loved Gun Lake and Pine Lake, enjoyed pontoon rides, traveling to Hawaii and Florida or anywhere near the ocean. Orvil played violin and hockey in his younger years and had also gotten his pilot's license. On August 14, 1977 in Plainwell he married Betty Rose, who preceded him in death. Surviving are his children, Lisa Sanders, Peter (Jennifer) Trudelle and Karen Beck; his step children, Martha Hill, Carol Brandfield, Lori (Dan) Blair, Charles (Pat) Hill and Elizabeth (James) Schmidt; 7 grandchildren, Crystal Sanders, Brittany (Beck) Holwerda, Gavin, Peter William, Jillian, Carys and Ayden Trudelle; 16 step grandchildren and many step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson Ethan Trudelle. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday with Pastor Merlyn Jones officiating. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes in the Spring with Military Honors conducted by V.F.W. Post #3030.
