Royce Conner Obituary

CONNER, ROYCE L. - age 85, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord October 5, 2011 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was an active member of Norwood Baptist Church until declining health. She was past worthy high priestess of The Order of the White Shrine. Member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was Past Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth. Preceded in death by husband of 35 years, Allen Conner; parents, Alfred and Ruth Line; brother, William Line and sister, Barbara Acuff. Survivors: children and spouses, Karen and Frank Kinder, Steve and Barbara Conner, Kittie and Stephen Wesley, Norman and Giva Conner; grandchildren: Nanette and Tom Foster, Rob Wesley, Christina Conner, Kellie Wesley, Tabitha Conner, and Isaac Conner; great grandchild, Derek Taylor; sister, Carlus Hill; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Katie Conner. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the 8th floor staff of Covenant Hospice. Funeral service, 8:00 p.m. Monday, Mynatt's Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday for interment at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Norwood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Mynatt's Fountain City Chapel. www.mynattfh.com
