Dad, I will always remember of how you always tried to get something special for me at Christmas. One christmas it was a macono set and dad and I spent hours putting diffeent peices together and making them work. Another Christmas it was a beebee gun. But most of ALL I REMEMBER how he taught all of us to pray outloud by taking our turns in prayer following the family devotioanl in the mornings. A loving , caring, disciplining, dad who always maintained integrity and honesty as his basic tenants.
THANK YOU DAD for BEING THERE FOR ME! Brother and sisters thank you for being there for dad too. I guess I am the eldest soooooo I will never be able to ever take the place of dad nor would I ever try, but I will promise to be there for everyone of you. I have a BIG ear that is willing to listen and I will be willing to care along with you. For all the friends and neighbors who sent cards and letters...THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU! Thank You also for your prayers on behalf of our family. Let's always keep in touch! May the angels watch over you dad and give mom a hug and kiss for us and please let the angels win a game of rook once in awhile!

Dear Gaylord, Colleen & your families:
My most sincere sympathies to you on the loss of your wonderful father. I remember well the days of riding the school bus and we were always brought home safe. Your parents were like "mom and dad" to all us kids. What a long life your dad had - that is amazing.
Fond regards to all of your family.

We have many special and happy memories of Emil and Joanna. They also showed hospitality when we visited, and were interested in our lives. Their life and testimony were a blessing to us and others.

Gaylord, Brenda, Colleen, Warren, Myrna and families,
Though your hearts hold deep sadness at the loss of your Dad & Grandpa, may you also remember the blessings of the life and love you shared that will always be a part of you. We have many special memories, too, from our growing up years and the time spent together with your family. Your Mom & Dad's goodness to us will never be forgotten! I'm so sorry it is not possible to attend the funeral service but we are keeping you close in our thoughts and prayers.
