I went to Cardinal Spellman HS and Manhattan College with Bernie and she was a wonderful person. She hung out with me in freshman year of college when I didn't know anybody and was adjusting to college life. I am deeply saddened and send my prayers and thoughts to the O'Hagan and Hart families. The world has lost a beautiful person but the heavens have gained a special angel.

To Tom and Bernie's entire family, my deepest sympathy to you, I pray that God will guide you through this trying time. Bernie and I were in the same homeroom all 4 years at Cardinal Spellman. I last saw her at our 25th reunion, she beamed when talking about her family!! As you know she was just as good a person as she was beautiful, a rare combination. Peace be with you.

Dear Tommy & Family,
I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to the Hart and O'Hagan families. I had the pleasure of knowing Bernie most of my life (from 1st grade on) growing up in Riverdale and going to St. Margaret's together. Bernie was a wonderful friend and will be truly missed. We had a St. Margaret's girls get together (only 6 of us) back in 2007 and I am so glad we got to do that. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless.

Dear Tom and family, what a tragic loss, we know that she will live on both in you and your wonderful children. I had the pleasure of teaching Claudia CCD this year, and had the opportunity to meet Bernadette. Always rely on your Faith and the knowledge that you will all be reunited again someday. In God's love, Lynn, Richard, Eddie and James Harnedy

I had the pleasure of meeting Bernadette when I taught Tommy and Dennis in first grade. Bernadette was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter what was asked of her. She was involved in many community projects and always ready with a big smile and kind word. I feel honored to have known her! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
On a personal note, having had my wife of 40 years pass in February, I can visualize some of what you are going through. We're all on the same road, just a different points in the journey. If you need to chat, feel free to contact me.
