I went to Cardinal Spellman HS and Manhattan College with Bernie and she was a wonderful person. She hung out with me in freshman year of college when I didn't know anybody and was adjusting to college life. I am deeply saddened and send my prayers and thoughts to the O'Hagan and Hart families. The world has lost a beautiful person but the heavens have gained a special angel.

To Tom and Bernie's entire family, my deepest sympathy to you, I pray that God will guide you through this trying time. Bernie and I were in the same homeroom all 4 years at Cardinal Spellman. I last saw her at our 25th reunion, she beamed when talking about her family!! As you know she was just as good a person as she was beautiful, a rare combination. Peace be with you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bernie most of my life (from 1st grade on) growing up in Riverdale and going to St. Margaret's together. Bernie was a wonderful friend and will be truly missed. Bernadette and I were classmates at St Margaret's School and I will always remember her fondly. She was a warm and beautiful person and a wonderful friend. I am so sorry to hear of her loss. You are all in my prayers.
