Dear Pam, Tom, Dustin, Jenna, and all:
I didn't know Debi well (might have met her once, years ago) but it is especially hard to lose someone during the holiday season. Not that any time of year is good.
Thank you for remembering her best friend in the obituary notice. I've been reading some books on grieving lately, and non-relatives are sometimes left out, even if the person was close to the deceased.
May her soul find peace.

Pam (and Kimmy),
I have such vivid memories of spending time with Debra, and the two of you after my family moved to Grosbeck when I was 7. Debra became one of my first friends in the neighborhood, and your house became a haven for me. We all survived as children of the 1970s suburban "me" decade in our own way. I will always think of Debra as a bright, thoughtful, rebellious, blonde-tressed girl, who retained her love of animals and others after overcoming so many obstacles. I send positive thoughts and prayers your way. I must believe Debra is finally at peace. Know you are loved by many.

Dear Pam and Kim,
I was deeply saddened to hear that Debbie had passed away. Your family was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood when we moved from Detroit to Lansing in 1975. I will always remember Debbie as the smart, friendly girl with the beautiful blonde hair. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
Sincerely,
Judy(Ashland)McCarthy

Dear Pam & Kim & Family, I am so sorry for your loss. In 1974, Debbie was the first one to really take me in as the new kid on the block. I so enjoyed spending time with her & your family at home and in Gaylord. Praying for you all! Love, Cathy Williams Cook

We just want to say our deepest prayers go out to your family. We have known her for quite a while. Her and her sister, Kim used to come to our home and have a great time. There was a lot of laughter back then. May God be with your family.
