Joey Compton Obituary
Joey Compton, 15, of Upper Macungie Township, died June 11, 2010. He was a student in 9th grade at Parkland High School and at LCTI studying diesel mechanics. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of Joseph and Angelina (Emanueli) Compton, with whom he resided. Joey enjoyed playing video games, fishing, camping, bingo and making movies. He also enjoyed playing soccer for South Parkland Youth Association and the Parkland Area Soccer Club. He attended Macungie Christian Community Church. Survivors: Parents; sisters, Amanda and Sarah Compton; maternal grandmother, Ann Emanueli; paternal grandfather, Wayne Compton; aunts; uncles; and cousins. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Calling hours will be in the Main room of the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Contributions: Checks may be made to the parents for the establishment of a memorial fund in Joeys memory.

Its been a very long and hard 7 years my darling life has not nor will it ever be whole again. I miss you so much words can't describe. As I watch lucas grow my heart aches for the hole you left in our lives.
I can only dream of the man you'd be today. How Madison remembers you and misses you but lucas can only look at pictures and listen to us talk about you. How you would have been such a great influence on him. Along with Tylor.
I look forward to being with you and Pubby in heaven when God calls me home.
I love you so very much you always made me so proud to say that's my Grandson Joey ❤
I'm so glad this site is still open. I will be ordering the book to look at from time to Time. I will also add some pictures to this so all can see.

It's been over 7 years since Joey passed. We rode the bus and went to elementary and middle school together. Sometimes I feel like I teased Joey too much. He was such a kind kid. I remember he had longer hair and he had it cut not long before the accident. I saw him and thought it looked nice..."I said nice haircut Joey!" He thought I must have been sarcastic but I thought he looked good. That was the last thing I said to him. I wonder what he would be like now. He lived just down the road from me...I bet as time went on...we would have become good friends. His death taught me to be kind everyday and to everyone, even if its hard because you don't know when the Lord will call them home. Joey, you always smiled and you were a strong kid. I am lucky to have known you. I hope you are enjoying Heaven buddy.

I was just surfing the web today and came across the link for this site, i can't belive it's still up. haven't been here for a few years.
The hole you left in all our lives will never be filled we miss you so much it still hurst as much as the day you died...

To The Compton Family, I realize months have gone by since you lost your son. I hope you are doing as best as can be and healing inside. Good comes in all kinds of packages. Any 15-year-old boy who thinks watching a movie with his mother is a fine way to spend an evening is a good boy in my book.
Thank you for sharing that part of him with me today. I wish you some peace with those memories of him in the future when the pain is less raw than it is now. I don't know how, but they say that day does come eventually.

Sweet, sweet Joey...
It has been a little while now, that you have been gone and yet it still doesn't seem real. I struggle with knowing that we won't be able to see you again. No more sleep overs, no more game nights, no more walking the streets of Macungie in that goofy cowboy hat! Jonathan lost one of his best buddies, and I feel like I'm missing a boy of my own. Please know that we always loved you. We miss you, Joey and nothing will take your place. Your repetitiveness and high energy was both a blessing and a curse! Somedays it would get right under my skin and others it would bring me to tears in laughter. One day, we'll all sit around a table and play games. You'll be paired with me and we'll lose miserably!

His simplicity and innocence is something that is lost in most kids these days. We know he wasn't an angel but he was a good boy.
