Dear Lance, Words cannot express how much you were going through and although we do not see each other when you came to Rite Aid on Bollinger Rd anymore I never forgot the times before then and after then when this happened. I remember you and your mom. Somehow, today I remembered you and your loss. I never forgot your name and what happened. Just know you are thought of and i hope you are doing well these days. I've lost a nephew, not the same I know. But we found peace knowing that one day we will see him again, knowing that he is with god. Remembering the funny and good times we had together. He is with god and angels in peace. Find peace in knowing that god loves you, that Ashley would want you to find peace and be happy. That she felt your love and wants you to live and be happy. To Ashley's parents: Driving to work this morning, I found myself at a stop light behind a white car with Ashley's name "in loving memory." I am so sorry for your loss but truly believe she wanted to send a sign that she's doing well and that she loves you. Your daughter loves you, misses you as much as you do her but she is happy and at peace. She watches over you daily. I know she wants you to smile at the thought of her beautiful face and to have a wonderful day.

I wanted let you know that everyone still misses you. The pain never goes away. You are still in my heart and prayers. I had Lizze over the house this weekend to pickup some of your cloths. I had your favorite white jacket dry cleaned. I though Lizze could use the jacket, it's been cold down here in San Jose. As you know we still are going to court for you. Ashley you did not deserve to die at such a young age of 23. It's been rough on your Mom and me. I am still not ready to say goodbye. Gosh I miss you so much. Please tell God we can no longer take anymore on our plate. We need your Angel help to heal us and take care of us. I feel no purpose in my life now without you. Ash, I miss you so much, I can't believe it has been almost a year since you've been gone, and it still hasn't fully hit me yet. Your number is still in my phone and sometimes I see it and I think to call you and then my heart sinks when I realize that I can't. I miss you so much. I want to thank everyone for sharing in our family grief and condolences. Our daughter Ashley was loved by everyone. Ashley will be truly missed by friends and family.

I too learned of your daughter's death only a few weeks ago. I have been wearing the blue band you gave me and make me think of both of you often. It also helps me think of my daughters and how we never know what the future might be. I know you and Ashley had a very close relationship and that was a good thing.

Your loss hurts me as well. I have 2 daughters and a son and are scared everyday of losing one of them. I feel as if I will to fall into the grief blackhole but need to realize that God placed them on this Earth for a reason and when that purpose has been completed he takes them back. We do not know when it will come or how, but there is a reason. I cry for Ashley and what she would have done with the rest of her life. From what I read, you both are great parents and raised a great child. Thank you. You gave Ashley a great loving life, be proud of that.

Our family was blessed when Ashley came into our circle; Ash knew how to make the party happen, she knew how to make all those that weren't exceptionally adept socially, fall in line. She has been the glue that has made Kathy,Liz and Sara social, not to mention Mike, Aaron and friends. Our memories of her, from early childhood to young woman are cherished. Nothing brings a hardened police officer to tears quicker then the death of a young person whose called home way too soon. Sadly, I witnessed this many times as a career officer. There is nothing that can be said to ease the pain of her loss to those who loved her so. Try to find Solis that she's in Gods arms and we pray that He will bring comfort to those she left behind. Something is telling me through the tears that Ashley's beautiful smile is lighting up the Heavens.
