Mitch, to me was a man of character, integrity and class. I had some good memories of Mitch, about family, friends, the stock market and life in general. I have had a rough couple of years and Mitch, even in his condition, would ask how I was doing and concerned about me which was always very touching and appreciated.

I think the proudest aspect of Mitch's life was his family and there is no doubt he is looking down with pride and love for all that they have accomplished.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Mitch's family.

I always appreciated the great companionship that Mitch and my Aunt (Godmother) Pauline shared. He was also like an uncle to me, at family events he and I used to share great chats about life, food and business... and being an entrepreneur myself, I would hang on every piece of advice he would give.

Mitch and I shared some special moments such as playing tennis in Florida, eating chowder in Camden Maine, and when he and Pauline trekked to Mahone Bay Nova Scotia to attend our wedding.

I used to call Mitch the ‘Human Backboard' as he always beat me at tennis (even in his 70's) and no matter how great a shot I would make, the ball would end up back in my side of the court.

My trips back to New England to visit family will not be the same, as it feels like I lost a family member. My wife Kelly feels the same way I do, his kindness and vibrant smile will be missed. We send our condolences to the Greb family and Aunt Pauline.

Mitch and I shared a birthday so we became fast friends. Although we weren't peers, our values were similar. Family, great friends, and cherishing time with both. The memories I keep of Mitch will remind me of a man who loved the simple things in life... a funny joke, good company, a perfect martini. I wish I still lived local to celebrate an incredible man's life with the Greb and Doherty families.

With condolences,

Laura Thompson
