BERTRAM GAFFORD

Bertram N. "Bert" Gafford, 73, a resident of Montgomery, AL, transitioned from his earthly house into eternal joy and peace on Monday, March 4, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home from 5:00 - 7:00. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:30 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home with Bro. George Monfee officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Bert had many special interests that he enjoyed doing, such as tending to his rose garden, driving race cars, being a gunsmith and working in construction. He also won numerous awards for marksmanship while in the National Guard. Bert is survived by his wife, Ann Gafford; five children, Della Norman (Andy), Walter Wahala (Trish), Donna Eoff (Michael), Trey Gafford (Dana), Kandace Jordan (Jake); stepdaughter, Laurie Pierce (Mark); brother, John Gafford (Linda); twelve grandchildren, Crystal Baxley, Hunter Eoff, Matthew Hodges, DJ Senn, Davis Gafford, Jackson Gafford, Emma Jordan, Julianna Jordan, Joshua Pierce and Timothy Pierce; and nephew, Bryan Gafford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the MS Foundation in memory of Bert Gafford.
