JAMES BRYANT Obituary

James Aldwin Bryant, age 80, of Montgomery, Alabama went Home to be with his Heavenly Father on May 8, 2012 after an extended illness. James was born on October 18, 1931 at Ft. Benning, Georgia to Aaron and Mamie (Strawn) Bryant. James was a loving husband and father. He married Mary Geneva Bryant on June 12, 1954. James retired from the U.S. Air Force after honorably serving our country for 20 years and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Earl (Eva) Bryant, Alvin (Irene) Bryant, and Roy (Edwina) Bryant. James is survived by his wife, Mary Geneva Bryant; three daughters, Phyllis Shipp of Montgomery, AL, Kathy (Bob) Groves of Foley, AL, and Anita (Vince) Thomas of Alexander City, AL; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at 1pm. Funeral services will be held at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2pm. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
