CARFOLITE
John Warren, 81 of Ringwood on Wednesday October 12, 2011 after fighting a battle with Parkinson and Alzheimer's Disease. Born in New York City lived in Ramsey before moving to Ringwood thirty eight years ago. He was a teacher for the Mahwah School District for thirty-eight years retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the National Guards of New York and a reserve of the U.S. Army. Honorable discharged in 1956. He received his Bachelor of Science at Manhattan College and Masters of Science from Fordham University. He was awarded 36 years Dedicated Service Award through Mahwah Education Association of New Jersey. Awarded from New Jersey States Governors Teachers Recondition Award in May 1990. District reading Coordinator for Mahwah Board of Ed and Director of Adult Education at Mahwah High School. He innovated Puppetry and Photography in his love of teaching. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Knakiewicz) Carfolite of Ringwood. Loving father of Eugene Carfolite of Ringwood, Joseph Carfolite of Ringwood, Valerie Bensinger of Las Vegas, Nevada and Trina Reardon of West Milford. Dear brother of the late Edward Carfolite. Grandfather of eight. Funeral from D'Agostino Funeral Home 881 Ringwood Avenue, Haskell on Tuesday 9:45 AM and a 10:30 AM mass at St. Catherine R.C. Church, Ringwood. Interment at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, New York. Visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
