Richard Hottle Obituary

Richard Allen Hottle, 74, of South Middle Road, Edinburg, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at his residence.

He was born June 3, 1937 in Edinburg, the son of the late Elmer and Pearlie Heishman Hottle.

A memorial service will be conduced Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Hamburg with Rev. John E. Taylor, Jr. officiating, Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service, Bowmans Crossing.

Mr. Hottle was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 199 Woodstock. He was a veteran and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a supply manager.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Vivian L. Hottle.

He is survived by daughters, Stephanie Johnson of Shelton, Washington, Cheryl Hottle of Chantilly, Virginia, Sandra Hottle of Edinburg, and Linda Omps of Bloomery, West Virginia; a son, James A. Hottle of Edinburg; sisters, Anna Mae Smoot of Edinburg, Helen Will of Woodstock, Betty Dellinger of Edinburg, and Maxine Wilt of Timberville; brother, Carroll Hottle of Broadway; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled Veterans.
