James Wiersma, age 89, of South Holland, IL passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Mr. Wiersma is survived by his wife, Catherine "Kay" Wiersma (nee Scott); nine children: James (Andrea) Wiersma, Bonita (David) Krisher, Robert Wiersma, Judith (Michael) Jankovic, David (Karen) Wiersma, Mary Wiersma, Jane (Martin) Dong, Kathleen (John) Vant Hoff and Joel (Susan) Wiersma; 28 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene VanderWall. Visitation Friday, January 28, 2011 from 4:00-9:00 PM at Smits-DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.), South Holland, IL. Funeral services Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Lynwood United Reformed Church (1990 East Glenwood- Dyer Road Lynwood, IL 60411) with services conducted by Rev. Keith Davis.
