My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Pedowitz.
To me Jim Pedowitz will always be as he was when he was my adjunct real estate professor at NYU Law School. I think he was one of the few adjunct professors who told few stories to impress the students about their professor's personal experiences as a lawyer. Instead, Pedowitz stuck to the nuts and bolts which he new so well. I kept the handouts from his course for decades. I think his presentation of the course was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to try my hand as a real estate lawyer so many years ago.

Jim was a please to deal with - a perfect gentleman and a depth of knowledge that was unsurpassed. He was a personal friend of my dad who was a real estate lawyer and professional and dad introduced me to Jim when I joined his business. Even after my dad's passing Jim always prioritized responses to my real estate title problems. I considered Jim one of Long Islands National Treasures and want to send my personal condolences to his family who should be proud to have been a relative of such a great human being as Jim was.
