I am the sister who was found by Janet at the age of three years old. I have a vivid memory of that day. My sister understated the part about being comforting. Janet calmed my fears and told me that we would find out where I lived. She took me to her home told her mother about how she found me and ate cookies and milk with me. We played in her room until the police officer arrived. When I left she told me I was a nice little girl. When my sister later became fiends with her in Jr High and High School Janets kind heart and sweet spririt was still there. I know she and my sister were dear friends during that time. I am so sad to hear of her passing. Kindness is never forgotten, she holds a speical place in my heeart

I was a friend of Janet's in Junior High and High School and my aunt was acquainted with Janet's grandmother Marshall through her alterations business.
When my 3 year old younger sister wandered away from home one summer attempting to go to our grandmother's house, Janet discovered her sitting on a curb in front of her house crying. It was almost 2 miles away from where my grandmother lived. Janet was instrumental in comforting her and getting her home safe. This was years before I came to know her at George W Norris Junior High School. I always loved her tender heart.
I am so sorry to hear about Janet. Praying for comfort for your family.
In loving memory,
