Josephine Stepps Obituary

Josephine S. Stepps CHESAPEAKE- Josephine Stancill Stepps, 77, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011. Born in Washington, N.C., Josephine was the widow of Travis E. Stepps. She was a full-time loving mother, grandmother, and our best friend. She is survived by five children, Lois Milner and husband Richard of Lexington, N.C., Edward Stepps and wife Becky of Lexington, N.C., Diane Hobbs and husband David of Chesapeake, Cindy Kruse and husband Bill of Chesapeake and Lee Stepps and wife Kris of Chesapeake; nine grandchildren, Buddy, David, Tony, Jennifer Rene, Taylor, Josh, Rachel, Tucker and Andy; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-granddogs. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, with the Rev. Doyle wells officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A private graveside will be held in Washington, N.C.
