GEBHARDT HOWARD P., SR.
Age 92, of Peters Twp., on Monday, March 7, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Betty Gebhardt; loving father of Barbara Dei, Janet Johnson, John (Georganna) Gebhardt, and the late Howard Gebhardt, Jr.; dear brother of the late Edward Gebhardt and Helen Morris; cherished grandfather of Scott Dei, Cheryl Ward, Kristin Hart, Kelly Harrison, and Melissa Gebhardt; adoring great-grandfather of McKenzie and Emerson Ward, Bryce and Evan Hart, and Graham and Fletcher Harrison; uncle of Nancy Zinn, Loretta Donovan, and Molly Kidd. Howard was a WWII Navy Veteran, owned and operated Howard's Automotive Service on West Liberty Ave. since the age of 18; was a founding member of Mason Hill Rod and Gun Club, where he loved to hunt, fish, and hang out with the guys. He was an avid gardener, loved to travel, an active member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church and Ben's Men's Club. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, (724)- 941-3211, Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 a.m. in St. Benedict the Abbot Church. I have not seen my uncle, Howard Gebhardt, for many years. I was sincerely sorry to hear of his passing. His brother, Edward C. Gebhardt, was my father, who died Mar. 8, 1950 - one day before his younger brother, Howard. I have pictures of the two of them together. My sincere sympathy goes to the family.

I would like to express my condolences to the Howard P. Gebhardt family. We were their neighbors on Highview Rd. My mom, Mary Mascia who knew Betty very well, passed away June 15, 2010. Betty would walk thru the back yard to our house for morning coffee. My father, Gene, would take his car for service to Howard's gas station. Such a long time ago. Jack Mascia

Uncle Howard was bigger than life. He will be misssed greatly, but is in a better place with the love of his life, Aunt Betty. Rest well Gus, you deserve it.
