Joe was the first Saftner of our generation, our oldest cousin. We all looked up to him. He was always kind-hearted and fun to be around. We'll miss him.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will miss Uncle Joe so much, and will always cherish my memories of him, but I know he is in a better place where he will no longer suffer. I wish I could be there, but know I have you in my thoughts and prayers. I will get up to Pittsburgh as soon as I can. I love you all so much.

I will miss seeing his bright face every Tuesday morning at United Check Cashing. I am happy I was able to get to meet him in my eight years working for Joel Zytnick. He loved to come in and share stories about family vacations and talk about movies with my sister. Our deepest sympathies go out to him and his family. Lalita Stadler & Andrea Korey

I worked with Joe at the bank for the last few years. He always talked about his grandchildren and watching them play football. I will miss talking to him about sports, especially softball. My sympathy goes to Shirley and the rest of the Mamich family.
