Even though it has been a while since Mr. Turhan departed this home for a better one, I, still see feel his presence every time I enter the Kingsley Association; he was such a calming and poetic spirit. He holds a special place in my heart and memory. Thank you Mr. Turhan.

Much love to the family. Bro Shabazz, you taught my well as a young brother hanging around the project. I used these lessons all doing my life as adult. Thanks! You did not have to do it, but you did it, not only for me but for all the kids in the neighborhood. You inspired us to be more then what we were. For that I thank you...Ted "Tweet" Price

To the Family of Mr. Turhan, I will miss my friend very much. He always treated me with the utmost respect, and called me "one of the good kids." He had the honor of meeting my Aunt Lil, 102 years young, and before she left the building; she had a poem. That was the special Mr. Turhan I knew. May God comfort you during this time of bereavement.

Brother Turhan was truly a beautiful spirit who touched lives with his love and wisdom everywhere he was. I'll always remember how he touched my student at Westinghouse High School in 2002 after he saw her rise and give her seat to an elderly lady. She came to class and told the story to them. A few days later he saw the student on the bus and gave her a poem about the importance of reading and study which I asked her to read to the class. He shared his light freely with us and now has re-entered the Greater Light. Thank you Turhan and thank you Bariki and family for sharing his love with the community. God will continue to bless and comfort you

My Condolences to The Casey and Jones Families. Brother Turhan was a Father/Big Big Brother to those Talbot Towers children who needed it and a mentor to others. Just the kind of man missing in a lot of young lives today he was a Giver if I can sum him up in one word it would be "Unselfish" Thanks for everything you done Brother Turhan.

For years I have listened to the Chris Moore radio show on KDKA. It became a ritual for me every Sunday evening. I could not wait for Turhan to call in with his poems of wisdom. I never met him but I felt him through his beautiful words. He made sense of things simply and with thought. My heart goes out to his family and friends. I know you will miss him dearly. I know I will. Peace.
