I was so sorry to hear about my dear friend Mr. P. I will truly miss walking down Thayer St. with him each morning, talking about history, coins, current events or just Life in general. He will always be an inspiration to me and everyone that had the pleasure of being part of his life. He has influenced the lives of so many people in ways he could not imagine with his kind words and interesting perspectives. We are all very fortunate to have known him.

To the Pinderhughes Family:
It was a privilege to be a friend of Buddy Pinderhughes. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable.
We shared many hours communicating by phone and with his typewritten letters.
He will be remembered for his love of music, National Public Radio, his many newspaper clippings, and his wit and wisdom. Above all he loved his family and friends.
A long time friend,

I was saddened to learn of Buddy's passing. He was a person who was always there, visiting my grandmother, his "Aunt Belle". Perhaps it was from her that he became interested in family history. I depended on him for his knowledge and research into our origins. A few years ago he found and sent to me the wedding invitation of my parents' wedding which he had come across. I cherish a long conversation we had during the party for Al's 75th birthday. Buddy brought me up to date on all the family history. I have a great picture of Buddy and Steve taken that day, which I will send along soon. Buddy was an inspiration and I will miss him.

To the Pinderhughes Family, My Family and I were deeply saddened when We heard that Mr Pinderhughes had passsed. Our Familes have been together since My Father was a child. I would call Mr P. to get information on the Gross Family, when My Son had to do a term paper on His ancestery, Mr. P. remembered and shared with Me, some stories about My Grandfather and Grandmother, that gave Me a glimpse into their pass, and how life was for them. My Son recieved an A on His report. The last time I saw Mr Pinderhughes was about 5 yrs ago, I was in town and I paid Him a visit, He showed Me the old trains, and bicycles, that were His when He was a child and the old typewriter, that He used to correspond with Myself an Mom. My Dad, had a reel of film, that was taken on His old Bell & Howell movie camera, when I viewed it, I was amazed to see Mr.P., My Dad, Mr. Dunlap, Mr. Hazel, Mr. Craig, Mr. McCrea and people that I didn't know, laughing and having a good time. I tranfered the reel to a VCR tape and sent it to Him to enjoy. I just want to say, that as a child, I remember My Parents would have company come to Our apartment on 45 Olney St. after the IBA closed. They were alway's respectful, ladies and gentlemen. I guess what I am trying to say is that I was exposed to some wonderful role models, way before I knew what a role model was. Mr. Pinderhughes, You, were truly one of them. Thank You, for being there. From the Gross Family, Billy and Mother Elsie,
