GEOFFREY 'GEOFF' E. MCKINNEY, 64 BELVIDERE - Geoffrey "Geoff" E. McKinney, 64, of Belvidere passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011. Born Jan. 22, 1947, in Beloit, Wis., to Emery "Mac" and Marjorie (Lewis) McKinney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. On April 29, 1972, he married Ann Cramer. He loved NASCAR and discovered a passion for cooking during his retirement. His greatest joy was his family. He loved being a father and grandfather more than anything. He also enjoyed the companionship of his beloved dog, Payton Walter McKinney. Survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann McKinney; son, Chris McKinney; daughter, Theresa (Corey Williams) McKinney; grandchildren, Sydné and Michael McKinney; mother, Marjorie McKinney; and sister, Barbara (Tom) Kult. Predeceased by his father, Emery "Mac" McKinney. Service at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St., Rockford, with visitation from 1 p.m. to time of service.
