Steve Rex Titsworth

Steve Rex Titsworth Steve R. Titsworth of Austin, Texas was called to join our Heavenly Father on Monday, June 27, 2011. Steve was 60 years old. He was born to Rex and Doris Titsworth on July 15, 1950. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam and brother, David. A beloved husband and stepfather he is survived by his wife, Susan Titsworth, stepsons Seth, Matthew and Luke Tiemann, daughter-in-laws Melanie, Christie, and Lacey Tiemann and granddaughter Brooklynn Tiemann. Steve graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science and completed an associate degree of Applied Science in Paramedic Technology. After 25 years of service as a firefighter Steve retired from the Austin Fire Department. Steve was also a Travis County Reserve Sheriff Deputy. Steve was affiliated with the Civil Air Patrol in the past and is a current member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Being a strong Christian man with a heart committed to spreading His love Steve was a member of Great Hills Baptist Church. While attending Great Hills he volunteered on the security team. Steve had a servant's heart and lived out the verse from Matthew 20:26, "it is not the way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant." An avid aviator Steve was a pilot and enjoyed flying in his spare time. He also enjoyed scuba diving and spending time with family. He was a facilitator for and received the Volunteer of the Year award for his help to, For the Love of Christi, Inc. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin, TX.
