Dear Kathryn--I was fortunate to again see your father at the 50th reunion of the CBA Class of 1958, three years ago. He still had the same smile and full of laughter that I recall while we were students at CBA. We ran on the track team and he was a good man. You had a wonderful father.

Sincerely,

Vince Guinto

I had the pleasure of working for Leonard back in the early to mid 90's towards the end of Lakelawn Trucking when the teamsters had left. I was what was called Scab Labor. I was in my early 30's, I loved the job and the guys I worked with were all good guys and we got the job done. I learned alot and got a lot of job experience. Leonard was the boss, but he was one of the guys. I didn't know he went to CBA, but it makes sense because dealing with him was like dealing with one of my playground pals at Our Lady of Lourdes - straight forward and no nonsense! I really loved working with Leonard, he was very good to me. I had hoped one dayto see him again and tell him how much I appreciated working for him. Sorry for your loss. Deepest sympathy, Jim Lipari

Dear Kathryn,
On behalf of the surviving members of the CBA class of '58, please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your dad. Lennie remained a close personal friend of mine over the years and was always someone I could count on. I have to tell you that his greatest pride was you, his daughter, and he frequently spoke of you with a great deal of affection. I hope the love that he had for you will remain in your memory and ease your loss during this sad time.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
