Doris Elizabeth Huber

DORIS HUBER Doris Elizabeth (Myers) Huber, 89, of Sellersville, passed away September 10, 2013 at the Rockhill Mennonite Community Nursing Care Center. She was born June 24, 1924 in Doylestown, the daughter of the late Isaac and Fanny (Thierolf) Myers. She lived on Meeting House Road in the Pine Run Community of Doylestown Township for 81 years before moving to Rockhill Mennonite Community in 2005. During her lifetime, Mrs. Huber was employed by the Doylestown Hosiery Mill and, for over 30 years, as an industrial strap seamstress and unit leader at the Eastern Rotorcraft factory in Doylestown. A lifelong member of the Doylestown Mennonite Church, she taught Bible school, Sunday school, and participated in a choral ensemble and sewing circles. She enjoyed children, singing, gardening and sewing. She is survived by a niece, Mary Kay Kreider of O'Fallon, MO; two nephews, Ray Myers of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Lester Myers of Blacksburg, VA. She has two surviving stepdaughters, Ruth Walter of Telford and Marian Huber of Hatfield; one stepson, Harold Huber of Naples, FL. She is also survived by numerous grand- and great- grandstepchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Huber; a brother, Lester Myers; two stepsons, Glen and Melvin Huber; and a stepdaughter, Arlene Weaver. The family will receive friends at the Doylestown Mennonite Church, 590 N. Broad St, Doylestown, PA 18901, Monday, September 16 from 1PM to 2PM where the service will begin at 2PM. Interment will be at the church cemetery immediately following the service. A memorial service will be held at the Rockhill Mennonite Community Chapel, 3250 State St., Sellersville, PA 18960, Sunday, September 15 at 2pm. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the Doylestown Mennonite Church or to the Rockhill Mennonite Community at the above addresses.
