William Cunningham Obituary

ROGERS, ARK - William H. "Bill" Cunningham of Rogers, AR, died on March 3, 2011, at the Circle of Life in Springdale, AR, at the age of 93. He was a former ten year resident of Williston, SC. He and his wife joined family in Arkansas in 2008. Bill was born near Clinton, KY in 1918 to parents Marvin and Eunice Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Fay Bolin.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Syvillia; a son, Warren (daughter-in-law Judy) of Springdale, AR; his grandson, Kyle, of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Fern Bolin of Clinton, KY; three nephews and one niece.

He worked for DuPont Company for 30 years in both their Construction Division and Quality organization. After retirement he taught himself to build and repair computers and design jewelry.

He lived a full and honorable life of service to his country, his family, and his community. More than mourning his passing, the family celebrates his life, the example he set, and acknowledges the love he gave.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR. Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 100, NW Arkansas Honor Guard.
