Nicholas Anthony Szari

SZARI, Nicholas Anthony Joseph, 25, went to the arms of his mother, Catherine Gragnani Szari, on March 14, 2011. He is survived by his sons, Anthony Joseph, 4, and Austyn Ryan, 2; the love of his life, Brandy Nichole Berg; his loving father, Lou Szari; sister, Annie; stepmother, Diane; stepsister, Robin Cambell; stepsister, Jenny Thompson (Erik), their daughter, Kyleigh; stepbrother, Joseph Cambell and his son, Lochlan. He also leaves behind many members of the extended Gragnani family; and Spann's family; Jewell's; Evans families; and especially, Grandma Anna. Nick loved spending time with his boys. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being with his friends, drinking a cold beer, and getting down and dirty in the mud at the "farm," and at any good mud sling'n'mudbog. He enjoyed the outdoors and helping anyone and everyone possible. He loved us all with everything he had. His smile and amazing baby blues could get him out of anything. Nick may be gone, but his legacy will live on forever. At the visitation, ties are not expected, and camo is respected. He saved multiple lives with his gift of life as an organ donor. The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at Bliley's - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, at The Catholic Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23116, followed by interment at Hanover Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Nick would prefer donations for educational needs for his sons. Please send in care of Lou Szari.
