4 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. There will be a reception following the service in the Nelsen Reception Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Hopewell Baptist Church, 5061 Hopewell Rd., New Kent, Va. 23124, or Shirley's favorite animal rescue sanctuary, Rikki's Refuge, P.O. Box 1357, Orange, Va. 22960.
