Gerard Kenny Obituary

Gerard M. Kenny passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. He was 61. Mr. Kenny was a resident of E. Norriton, PA. He worked as a steamfitter and was a proud member of Local 420 Steamfitters of Philadelphia, PA. Gerard was a member of the AA and NA Support Groups for over 20 years, serving as a friend and sponsor. Born in Darby, PA on October 9, 1950, he was a son of the late Gerard J. and Mary Jane (Breslin) Kenny. Surviving is his loving family including a son, Gerard M. Kenny, Jr. of Boyertown, PA; two daughters, Pamela L. Peterson of Douglassville, PA and Monique A. MacKay of Pittsburgh, PA; four grandchildren: Amanda, Kristina, Carter and Lydia; two brothers, Francis J. "Frank" Kenny of Norristown, PA and John P. Kenny of Florida; a sister, Alice A. DiCenzo and her husband, Michael of Dowingtown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul J. and Thomas A. Kenny. The family will receive relatives and friends at the King of Prussia Church of Christ, 590 W. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2 to 4:00 pm. Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gerard's memory to the Kenny family. Send to Gerard M.
