You would be so very proud of your family. The way they have stepped up to take care of your children is nothing short of amazing. Their hearts continue to break & mourn your loss and yet they still put your children's needs first. I always knew what great parents you have but their acts of sacrifice and love is further testament to how very much they love you, your wife and kids.

As time goes by I see a permanent change in our families lives. We embrace every little strange thing that we see or hear and we hope that it is you reaching out to us. We talk about you all the time and we will continue to keep your memory alive. We know you are watching over (Pop Eye) in the Nursing home because he mentions your name out of the blue as if you were there visiting him. Please continue making your presence known, it puts a smile on our face, even if it's for just a few moments. We all deeply miss you....

As my 30th birthday passes I miss you more then words can express. I miss your hugs, which were the best. I miss your smile, which could get anyone to smile. I could go on and on forever at what I miss but I know you are watching out for everyone you loved. One day we will meet again and my best friend of 25 years will be near again to laugh with and share stories. Rest in peace until we meet again.

The reality has still not completely set in. I am angry that you are not here to be with us, but mostly with your children. Every time I put little Nico to bed and rub his little back as he falls asleep, I think of you and hope that you are looking down at the magic you made with my daughter. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about Matt. He is a man I admired because of his passion for life, his love for others and his devotion to family and friends. He was the self proclaimed world's greatest at everything, the master of all and a failure at

Matty, you will be missed by everyone whose lives you came into. I'll never forget every time I saw Matt in school or at wrestling practice and I seemed down, he would give me a hug and tell me he loved me. It took me awhile to realize he wasnt just tryin to embarrass me, that was just the type of person he was. Ill never forget you bro and can't wait to get another hug from you in heaven. I had the pleasure of working with Matt. He came into Frankford Ave. Family Practice in the Northeast on a regular basis. We were always greeted by his smile. Matt never had a bad day but was always willing to listen to ours. We enjoyed having lunch with him and talking about what number baby he was on, Italian traditions, and his love of his children and wife. He made us feel like we knew all of them individually. Matt, you hold a special place in my heart and will be missed dearly.

Matt was a very selfless man and one of the nicest guys I have ever met. His smile and likableness is certainly unmatched.
