So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We were classmates at UT and then both ended up teaching at UT and Owens. It's great to see the positive influence he had on so many, but it's no surprise. He was a great guy.

My brother and my friend. We shared many adventures and pranks when we were kids. Ill never forget swinging on the curtains. I'm going to miss our 3 hour phone calls. I know you are in a better place. I love you forever.

Tom persisted in his explanations until
he found the right "channel of entry".
He had a serious facade when telling a
funny story, which made it funnier.
He was very helpful to me and other
tutors when we were in need.
I'll certainly miss Tom.

To the loved ones of Tom - I always appreciated his humor and patience. He was a wonderful educator. He will be missed in the halls and classrooms at Owens.

Mr. Tom was a nice and helpful professor. I remember something that he said in one of my classes and it is something to remember forever. He said "My mother is the sweetest women in the world"

Tom and I shared many stories, I used to attend the many polka fests he played at as well as working and talking with him in the math center. We will all miss him at Owens. Tim Meyer

Tom was a great tudor and a brilliant mathematition. He has helped many of us on our intellectual journies, and we shall miss his insight and wonderful sense of humor. Rest peacefully, Tom.

My heart hurts for such a loss. For the last two years I have watched the impact he has made on students with his understanding and knowledge. I was lucky enough to engage in many great conversations with him over these years, he will be missed.

My condolences to all of Toms family. He was a wonderful teacher and many will remember and miss him. He had a great sense of humor and was a very caring man. I feel privileged to have known him and had him as a teacher, he will be dearly missed.

Besides being both a friend and mentor to me, Tom embodied all the traits of a great teacher. His dedication towrads, and concern for, his students set a standard to which I hoped I always met.
His absence at Owens CC will be strongly felt by all who were lucky enough to know him.
