Jeanette SIEBERT Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Jan. 18, 2012.
SIEBERT, Jeanette (Janet) Florence
Janet Siebert of North Vancouver passed away suddenly on December 29, 2011. She was 83.
Janet is survived by her son Stephen and wife Jinni of Seattle, WA, daughter Carol Lange and husband Dean of Port Coquitlam, and grandchildren Trevor Siebert, Cameron Siebert, Ashley Siebert and Tyler Lange. Janet is also survived by her loving sisters Rae, Yvonne, and Rose of Vancouver; Margaret of Montreal; and Sally and Tilly who reside in the US. Janet was known for her strong views on politics, family values, love of gardening and wonderful cooking. Janet lived in her North Vancouver home until her health declined due to dementia. Over the years as her condition worsened she was still able to smile and laugh, enjoying regular visits from her children and grandchildren, her sisters Yvonne and Rae, and her companion Doris. A memorial service will be held on Sunday January 22, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Mountain View Cemetery, Celebration Hall, located at 5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
