Grandpa was not only a good role model, a true inspiration and a great listener, but he was a great grandfather as well. He always seemed to know exactly what to say, and that is one of the most admirable qualities anyone can have. I loved Grandpa very much and I always will.

Al was a long time member of the Landon Tennis Club. He was a wonderful doubles partner and a good friend on and off the court. When playing against him in singles, I felt as though I had run several miles before a set had ended. He wore me out with endless drop shots and lobs. Needless to say, he always won. Al's pleasing pesonality won for him many friends, I am glad that I was one of them.
He will be missed. Lowell Davis --Landon School

Al Golub was a lifelong friend. I was very blessed to meet/know him and to work for/with him at the EEOC, beginning in the mid-seventies. He was a wonderful public servant, leader and teacher. He had a marvelous sense of humor, a quick wit. He was a shining light -- always with you through good times and bad; always a man of enormous compassion; always willing to lend a hand; always willing to listen; and, always a wise counselor. He was a scholar and loved to “talk policy.” He was a man of great integrity; he was also refreshingly authentic and unabashedly humane – a wonderful role model and example for many of us at the Commission. I believe he personified the principled values, aspirations and good work of the agency; simply put, he is Mr. EEOC. I will miss him very much.
