On Thursday, July 14, 2011 of Brookeville, MD. Beloved wife of James A. Roark, Sr.; mother of Annlouise Goodermuth (David), James A. Roark, Jr. (Janet), Edward A. Roark (Patricia) and Kathleen F. Edwards (Shawn); grandmother of seven. She also leaves her canine companions, Rusty and Stella. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, July 19, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery in Watertown, MA. To my loving wife:
The days are long without you. When you passed away my life as we knew it also ended.
I am so thankful to God for all we had together and I long to be with you again.
"and, if God so choose, I shall love you better after death" this is my prayer to the Blessed Trinity.

To all the family......it is with a sad heart that I write this for my long time friend. Barb was a wonderful person and left many memories for all of us to treasure. Jim and I both share in your loss.
