Charlie was a very sweet man who radiated a genuine warmth. He was friendly, caring, and an excellent conversationalist. Knowing him was a pleasure and having him for a neighbor
was a gift.

Dear Stan, I always loved your Mom and Dad. They were good friends to my Mom and Dad. I remember the good times our parents had together at our house. Remember me I am Sharon's little sister.
Take care, Carole Byers

I met Charlie when visiting friends in Silver Spring in August of 2005. Because they knew I had some mason skills, they asked me to repair his crumbling brick steps leading up to his porch. Charlie was one of those people with such a warm vibrant energy that you were invigorated with his spirit. It was an unexpected reward to have met him, may his love of life be spread through all who knew him.
