DENZIL CARLAND PAULI
Of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Denzil was a scientist, physicist, outdoorsman and family man. As an early oceanographer, he led underseas habitat programs such as Sealab II and Tektite I. Beloved husband of Ruth J. Pauli; devoted father of Andrew D. (Joop) Pauli and James G. (Dana) Pauli; loved grandfather of Allison, Jennifer and Benjamin; treasured great-grandfather of Matthew, Zachary, Christina and Jessica; cherished brother of Mary Pauli Ebert and Jacquelyn Pauli Benson. Funeral service at Grace Episcopal Church, 1607 Grace Church Road, Silver Spring MD on Thursday, December 8, at 1:30 p.m. Graveside service at Norbeck Memorial Park, Batchellors Forest Road & Georgia Avenue, Olney, MD, on Friday, December 9, 2011.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

I believe I worked with Mr. Pauli on project Tektite I in1968, there were 3 people from ONR over seeing our work. It was my first experience as a Navy Diver working with civilian government employees. His presence showed me how intelligence and responsibility are handled. May God rest his soul.
