On Friday, April 26, 2013, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Claire Mitchell; father of Daydria Marlene Ellis, Sybrand J. Mitchell, Carl A. Mitchell, Arline Johnson, and the late Gillian L. Mitchell-Solomon; brother of Lawrence Mitchell, Ethel Henry, Clarabelle Mansfield, Neva Mitchell, Rubena Mitchell, Clara Allen, Myrtle King and the late Concetta Walder. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Wednesday, May 15, 2013, 7 to 9 p.m. and at Millian Memorial United Methodist Church, 13016 Parkland Drive, Rockville, MD, on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. where service wil be held at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Memorial Park. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My sincere condolences to my second family, Daddy Mitchell was in my life for many years as his children became my best of friends, my sisters and brothers. May he rest in PEACE, and may the family find comfort in remembering the good old times. He will be truly missed,but heaven has gained one of the best that God created.
