HELEN PILLAR DROTER (Age 96)
On Tuesday, July 10, 2012, of Hillcrest Heights, MD. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Droter; mother of Robert Droter (Kathie), Peggy Dessaint (Alain), Kay Campbell, Richard Droter (Rita), and Thomas Droter. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday, July 15, 2 to 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. My sisters and I spent so many hours with your Mom when we grew up next door. I remember our Mom sending us over there in the afternoon for sewing and embroidery lessons and sitting at the kitchen table waiting for Mrs. Droter to finish cooking! She was such a good friend to my mother, who passed away in 1997. Our sincerest sympathy.
