Dave Myers;Tim Doughty;Greg Furr;Dan Grace;Bill Scoble;Ernest Jefferson;David Scott; Marty Meehan;S.R. Smith;Ferris Browner;Dennis Singleton;Wayne Henry and Jim Vucci. What a great bunch of police officers that I had the pleasure to supervise from 1974 - 1979 in 6D-A section. These were the best of the best and all fine police officers who had to police the dregs of the earth.
Jim was one hell of a good police officer and went on to become an outstanding official who was loved and admired by all that knew him. He has been taken much to soon. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends and may I say that the tribute written by his son on facebook was a great testimonial to his father.

"O Loving Father and Savior, send your angels to carry the soul of your servant from this earth to the heavenly place of eternal and everlasting life. Let family and friends who have passed before in faith be reunited in joy with the departed. Forgive any wrongs that have been committed and welcome this beloved spirit into the warm embrace of your unending peace. Amen"

Jim was one of the biggest influences on my life. When telling people about him, I would joke that he was the number one reason behind all of my problems during my career with the Metropolitan Police Department. He showed me what real police work was and real police supervisors did. I had difficulty accepting any less since. All of my successes can be traced directly back to him. A great boss and even greater friend
