A message from one of her former students at rolling terrace elementary school. Ms Hopkins was such a great teacher and she taught me so well. I remember her classroom upstairs with the huge windows overlooking the courtyard. Her classroom was beautifully decorated with lady bugs and she would stick lady bug stickers on our completed assignments with a smile next to it. That was 15 years ago and Ive always thought about her. May she Rest In Peace! ♥

Cher and I have fond memories of Jane, and we are sad she has died. We can easily conjure up the sound of her infectious, raucous laugh, and the look of her sparkling eyes. We will remember all the great times in Charlestown, and the week we all spent in Italy. Such fond memories of a wonderful woman.

I was so fortunate to have had Jane as a friend, colleague and most of all an example of what a teacher is...
I taught and work with Jane aka. Juana @ Rolling Terrace. I will have fond memories which I'll treasure always; so many full of laughter, ladybugs, week-end get togethers & meeting for lunch once we retired. Jane gave us the gift of love and we
were so lucky. May she rest in peace. There's another angel in heaven. I will miss her so much.

Jimmy, Mark and Andrea,
I was shocked last nite to hear from June of Jane's passing. It apparently was very sudden. She was a dear friend and I shall always remember the fun we all had together in RI and DC. She was a real sparkle and I know will be missed. I am in Florida and can't attend the service but she will certainly be in my thoughts. My sincerest condolences to all of you.

I will miss my URI freshman roommate, Hoppy, who organized twice yearly URI luncheons with Marge Lee and myself at Marco Polo's restaurant in Fairfax, VA. We refreshed our Rhode Island accents and revisited the good times we had at URI. As a fellow teacher in Montgomery County, MD, Hoppy and I shared many ideas on teaching children from less advantaged backgrounds. Even after retiring, Hoppy was sought out for substitute teaching because of her caring expertise with the children at Rolling Terrace Elementary School, where she spent the majority of her teaching career.
