MELINDA RILEY DRUMMER (Age 58)
On Monday, October 7, 2013, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Robert H. Drummer; loving mother of Alexander R. and his fiance, Laura Zimmer, and Eric M. Drummer; daughter of the late Dalton R. and Caroline Riley; daughter-in-law of Betty Drummer and Saul Ritter; sister-in-law of Mark and Sandy Drummer. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking) Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 11 at 9 a.m. Interment Columbia Memorial Park. You will miss Melinda but I know you must have some sustaining memories to see you through the days ahead. my family was good friends with Melinda's family. our mothers were great friends. LOVED LIFE as Melinda did? I remember her as being extremely bright and upbeat 110% of the time. I am sorry or your loss but I am glad you had her in your lives. Your mother was a very loving and caring person and I know she will be missed. I have been impressed with the wonderful care and love all of you have given to Melinda. You are an example of a wonderful family who did everything possible to show your love and compassion for her. I have been honored to get to know you better during this time. I will always remember how you functioned as a family during this crisis. Be proud of what you have been able to do together to make things the best that you possibly could for her.
