Having lived with Bill and Rita as our near "across the hall" neighbors at Riderwood Village, we feel special losses. In so many ways Rita and Bill shared their love and marvelous sense of humor with us and our beloved pet, Reddy. We will cherish our many memories of the Lyons and their infectious smiling faces. We are assured that family members who know their loss so intimately will be comforted even as Rita and Bill worked so intensely in their time to comfort and care for the needs of others.

Rest in peace, Aunt Rita. You will always be in my heart, and I hope to live my life the way you lived yours; full of grace and compassion.

It was a true joy to visit with Rita on my trips to Washington. She was always giving, lively, and engaged in the present. Her fun sense of humor about herself and others was wonderful. The stories she shared with me about my mother, Bee Oberg, meant so much to me. I am sure her death is such a loss to her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
