TIMOTHY R. FREDELL
On Friday, October 11, 2013, of Silver Spring, MD passed away suddenly after being rushed to MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. Beloved husband of Charlotte Fredell; father of Heather; brother of Bill (Carolyn) and Damaris Fredell. Tim was the Director of Catering/ General Manager of Indian Spring Country Club prior to retirement. He was well respected and appreciated within his profession and dedicated more than 30 years of service to the members and the community. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking), Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 18 at 11 a.m. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My parents were members of Indian Spring CC for 41 years until their deaths. My "Sweet 16" luncheon was there as well as my sister's. Two out of three of my parent's children's weddings were there. My daughter's 12 year old birthday party was at Indian Spring. My son's Bar Mitzvah was there as well as his wedding. To say that Tim knew our my parents, their friends, & our family would be an understatement! He was so good at what he did! He took all my mother's & my ideas and put them to fruition. What an accomplishment! Plus--he was able to satisfy both my mother & I! I just learned today of his passing. So sorry for your loss!

Our family lived next to Tim's family in the early years. We were several years younger than Tim but I remember him being very kind to us when we would run around their yard and pester him. With Sympathy to the family.

It was with great shock that we learned of Tim's passing. I consider myself so forunate that you have all been a part of our lives for the past 29 years. I feel Tim's presence will remain within our hearts. He gave so much of himself to his profession and family. His memory will live on always with all the people who knew and loved him.

I am at a loss as to what to say he was one of my most favorite people and I am so very sorry that I did not call as often as I thought of him. Tim was a creative genius who was more than a Superior. He was a friend and mentor. I will always carry his love of food and beverage and people forever in my heart. I cherish the time I spent working with him. I know Tim is in Heaven now telling God how the table should be set. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this most difficult hour.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Charlotte, Heather, and the rest of Tim's family. I met Tim back in 2006 when I was Membership Chair for the Montgomery County Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals of which Charlotte and I are members. He was very helpful when we were working on our open house for that year when he was still catering manager at Indian Spring Country Club. He will be sorely missed.
