WILLIAM E. KOEHLER "Bill"
On Wednesday, November 2, 2011 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine "Geri" Koehler; father of Jeff (JoAnn) Koehler and Janet (Jim) Boyce; grandfather of Dr. Jeffrey (Alli) Koehler, Lt. Bryan (Megan) Koehler, USN and Kristin (Jake) Schmitz. Also survived by three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd., Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Jeff and Jan,
We sure had wonderful parents and were lucky to grow up in the mid-west. Grandma and Grandpa Koehler did a great job raising their four sons, and giving two of them to us for dads. (Our moms weren't too shabby either, good Milwaukee Polish stock.) Your family visits were always one of the big events of the summer. I remember having great times but man, we're getting old and I've forgotten all the details. What a herd when the Des Moines Koehlers, the Beloit Koehlers, and Watertown Koehlers all got together. I bet all the Koehler brothers Joe, Bob, Paul, and Bill and Grandpa and Grandma are all happy in heaven and looking down on us and are smiling.

I remember your Dad (and Mother) when you and I were little girls during our days at St. Michael's School. They were wonderful parents and I hope your memories will give you great comfort.
