On Sunday, July 28, 2013, of Washington, DC, formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Loving father of Frederick, James, Mary and Patricia. He is also survived by other loving family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, Friday, August 2, 2013 from 12 to 1 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held at 1p.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. I remember Bill as a loving and supportive friend to my mother (Ruth).... picnics, holiday togethers with his children and my family. He was a great cook, even teaching me how to bake fish! I have fond memories of his attending my college graduation and other celebrations. He lived life to the fullest, was an encourager and support for my family's endeavors, my daughters, Patti and Jeanine. We can't be gratefull enough for all he did for my mother in her later years.
